In our continuing effort to clear out some junk, the jukebox is next up on the hit list. Chris and Bob moved it to the garage
and Bob started tearing it apart to fix it up for sale.
It wasn't sounding too good, but it was probably a matter of buying the correct belt instead of using a handful of regular rubber bands as a drive belt. If you click the link below, you will see what I mean.
This machine needs help:
Then. It quit. Just quit. Hmmmm...."Let me think about this a bit." This old juke box is an amazing technicolor spaghetti machine and no answer came to Bob as to what the problem might be.
My Facebook sent me this picture today of Reagan a year ago at the Point-No-Point lighthouse. I didn't think she could get any cuter, but she did!
The high point of Bob's week was his birthday trip to The Ridge Motorsports track to do the Driving Experience that the kids got him for his birthday. To shorten our morning commute, Scott and JoAnn graciously offered to let us stay in their cabin again and we got to visit for a bit with Scott. The next morning bright and early we headed for the track. Bob got registered and stuck his racing number on the windshield.
Then there was some classroom training. No he wasn't the only one in the class. It just looks like it since I was sitting to the side of the classroom. The instructor, Pete, was wonderful.
After class it was off to the hands-on training. Here his instructor is going to take him for a couple of laps around the track to show him the layout.
The cars are lined up in the "hot pit" ready to jet off to the track. Bob has the only SUV in the line up.
While Bob did his stuff around the track, I reverted to my only child days and entertained myself however I could. Notice the total symmetry of my toes on the cone? The way my heels line up with the edge of the asphalt? All only child activities.

Bob screetched around the course and owned the track in his racy Subaru Outback. In the video below, it doesn't look like Bob is going that fast but he's probably doing 70 as he tears around turns 14 and 15 and on into the straightaway.
Below is the exercise I enjoyed the most. Screeching around on wet pavement. When I did it, they had to wet the area down with a water truck. They didn't have to do that since it rained the morning of his exercise. He has traction control on in this video, you can hear it chattering at him to slow down and be more careful. I enjoyed this exercise since the trained drivers kept telling me to push, push, push, your car can handle it and they were right. It definitely changed how I view it's capabilities from here out.
Check out the skit mat exercise here:
Bob recorded a couple of good shark movies for me and I finally got to watch one of them Sharktopus was not nearly the quality or had the special effects of the Sharknardo series of movies, but it was entertaining.
Chris and Carissa and Reagan went back to Maine to visit the relatives and see the fall leaves. As a bonus, they brought me 5 thimbles from the East coast. I didn't have a New Hampshire thimble yet so Yay, cross that off my list!

She also got to meet cousin William. Carissa took matching jammies for them to make them even more adorable together.
It's hard to believe that just a few months ago William had open heart surgery. Thankfully it was successful and William is all normal boy now.
And, as William healed, Reagan had a boo boo and broke her clavicle. Reagan is taking this better than her parents did.
After a trip to urgent care, Reagan got some sympathy and a sling and was right back on track.
Did you ever see a cuter sling on a cuter kid? As you can see, she is feeling pretty good. Carissa says she's learned to point with her toe so she can still order folks around.
Before she broke her shoulder, she got a chance to catch her first fishie with Grampy Walker at their family homestead in Maine.
It may be all fun and games (except for the trip to urgent care) in Maine, but back home we are sharing our space, no matter how crowded, with Bear. Not wanting to be left out, if Bear is on the bed, Nitro is also there. The natural answer to that equation is that Tanya has no bed left to call her own.
Reagan was ready to come home and was very excited to get on the plane and get to see her own toys and sleep in her own bed. She's a travelling trooper just like her mom and auntie were.
Back home with her own stuff.
and strutting her sling in Poulsbo at the city park.
Have a good week everyone!
