Happy Extraterrestrial Abduction Day!
On quiet evenings Nitro likes to sit on the barstool and watch TV. Nothing passes an evening quite like watching The Voice with your people.
Saturday we met Carissa, Reagan, and Kyanne in Silverdale for lunch. Since we got to town early we decided to grab a quick cache on the dock at the waterfront park. This one was a magnetic box under the ramp.
Hey Mabel? See that black sports car over there that guy just finished washing...
We had plenty of time to grab another cache before lunch. We found the locked box quickly enough but we had to find the combination first. After looking around, we found a random Darth Vadar on this wall. Upon inspection, if you pushed the button on Darth, a blower pushed a ping pong ball up the tube
so we could read the numbers on it which turned out to be the combination to the lock. Bob signed the log and we were off to lunch with time to spare!
Reagan likes me to sit in the back seat and keep her company while we travel so I humor her and do it.
We wanted to give Carissa a break on fixing dinner so we stopped at the grocery store on the way home to get something for dinner. Reagan wanted to get green food since it was "Patrick's Day" so we got green beans, broccoli, mashed potatoes (which we dyed green), and chicken (which we did not). After we got home Reagan helped me fix dinner. A four-year old trimming the ends off green beans is not a precision machine by any means. I think there was more product in the sink than in the pan but she enjoyed the process and that's what counts.
With the longer days it gives everyone more time to enjoy the good weather. In Reagan's case she used the time to ride her bike on the patio while she discovered the joys of crashing. Check out the video. To think, in a mere 12 years she'll have a driver's license! I don't think that her daddy will think it is as "hilarious" as she thinks crashing is! Here's another video.
The next morning we herded Reagan while Carissa ran errands in speed mode. After I skillfully fixed Reagan's hair, she insisted on wearing a headband which ruined the whole look. I managed to coax her out of the headband with a trip to the park (which we were planning anyway) and we left the hairband for Mozzy to run off with.
Reagan knows the Poulsbo Park. She insisted I take her picture with these swordy things that probably have a greater purpose than holding Reagan up for a photo but it sure did the job well.
Reagan was so enthralled with her new Playmobile catalog (she loooves Playmobile toys) that she totally forgot to ask/demand that I ride back in steerage with her.
We made it home in time to finish our greenhouse before dark. Now to plant our seeds and get stuff growing big enough that Reagan won't pull the crop out while weeding like she did last year!
Special delivery flowers for Mommy!
Riding on the waterfront thinking this is what every kid gets to see when they go to the park.
Another beautiful park trip.
Ready to travel with "E" and his bottle in Reagan's backback.
Bear waiting to be let in through the patio door with the sun light creating a glow in his cone.
Have a great day Everyone!
