Happy National Escargot Day!
There really isn't much going on here that's blog-worthy, but the Blog Stalker is expecting an entry so she'll get one. This will show her not to be so insistent!
We have some new birds coming to our feeder this week. As near as I can tell, they are evening grosbeaks. They are very colorful and not the usual blah brown of NW birds and fish. Actually, they look kind of tropical-y. They are related to the goldfinches which also provide a spot of beautiful color in our yard.
Kurt was out helping to NATEF certify another school (so now they are obligated to come help us get certified next fall). My friend, Mary Lou, was our substitute and as the students "happily" did their wheel alignment packets, Mary Lou was surrounded by technology and was hard at work bringing a design idea I had for Reagan's birthday present to life. She also had her own project to do on her Microsoft Surface, phone, Silhouette cutter using a class laptop to try to print. Thankfully Mary Lou is a very hard-working sub and got my project done for me. Too bad she didn't have time to get her own project done.
This week, Bob's goal has been to clean the garage out and thin down some of his treasures. He's worked night after night and bought lots of bins.
Although he's only done the shelves, he's thrown a lot of stuff away and his shelves look really impressive.
Meanwhile this is happening in the house...No such luck it will end up neatly binned and labeled like Bob's project.
Our washing machine started making this hideous noise, so Bob headed behind the old washer before it became Old Faithful to see if it could be saved.
Soon, a quick peek into the back turned into a full-on disassembly of the washing machine. He's learned from screaming episodes in the past to have towels at the ready before he starts opening things up.
All this destruction was followed by the proclamation that with $75 in parts, he could make the problem go away.
Darn, I guess that sweet little base model washer at Lowe's just wasn't meant to be this time!
Does this look like someone that wants to get up and go to daycare?
Then, not the same day, she fell and lifted the fingernails off of two fingers so she sat on Mom's lap and read all evening. I see that Rawr, Rawr got a matching Band-Aid too.
Now that Reagan is talking, her pictures may have her quotes below.

The kids are starting to remodel their backyard and this started with the removal of their deck. Here Reagan tells Bear the new yard rules.

Hugging every gargoyle at the landscape store.
Making discoveries at the Tacoma Children's Museum.
Reagan loves herself some lip balm. If she's not careful, she's going to be an addict like her Grama.

Glad Bob had a full coverage t-shirt tucked in while working on the washer....he's an electrician not a plumber after all!
