to Scott. Here Scott is shown suited up and going in to put out the candles on his birthday cake.
It's spring and flowers are everywhere. I've made it an annual tradition to buy the flower baskets on our front porch from our school horticultural class. These are beautiful huge baskets for $20. A steal for 3 opportunities to kill something.
I was drilling/punching holes in my punch list of items that need completion by the contractors in our building. I guess only I would find that punching a hole in my punch list was entertaining.
The Walker family came over for the weekend and we sat out in the yard and enjoyed some fun in the sun. Bear made use of Reagan's 's sprinkler ball by using it as a drinking fountain.
Reagan spent the day running free in the backyard as her mother before her had done. That kid has some tough feet because she doesn't seem to care what she walks on at all. She just wanted to see what the neighbors were tearing up now.
Like gypsies, we packed up and followed the shade around the backyard so Reagan's sunscreen didn't have to work so hard. She had plenty of pool time with some of her mother's own plastic dinosaur toys that were recently unearthed from the attic.
Reagan and I having splash wars. We splashed so much water out of the pool Chris had to refill the water.
Bob and Reagan lounging in our new Costco lounge chairs. Reagan took to hers like a duck takes to water.
At the point in our travels from the sun where we are closest to the junk heap, Scott and JoAnn stopped by to say "Hi" and recover from Scott's class reunion at the Seventh Day Adventist Academy in Auburn.
Reagan went off to bed with nothing more to say than a ceremonial howl, then slept soundly for the night. Since she went to bed at 7 and it was still daylight out, I could take a nice picture of her while she was cutely sleeping with her stuffed jaguar "E" and dreams of tomorrows train ride dancing in her head.
The next morning we all packed up and went to ride the Snoqualmie Train. Kyanne met us there and since it was Mother's Day moms with their children go to get in free. Since Chris used Carissa to claim a free ride for Reagan, I claimed Kyanne as my child to get a free ticket. It's like the old days when I installed (an often unwilling) daughter in the passenger seat so I could use the carpool lanes.

Woo Hoo! The train was filled to capacity with children, mostly small, and Moms. An amazing number of mothers were having their dream's come true by being sealed in a metal box with screaming children for 90 minutes and wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way.
There was a picturesque bridge over the south fork of the Snoqualmie river (assuming my map reading skills are accurate).
Reagan has this new photo pose where she tips her head every time she sees a camera lens pointed at her.
Bob and Kyanne cheerfully being sealed in a metal box for the team. Thanks!
Kyanne and Bob made for an infinitely cuter picture, but in the spirit of Mother's Day I made an appearance on pixels.
Reagan had a busy day the day before so started the day out tired but hung in there like a trooper.
Nintendo's back yard from the train.
As we went through North Bend, we passed Twede's Diner. This is the diner in Twin Peaks series where everyone went to have cherry pie and coffee.
Lounging on Mom's lap, having a snack, and riding a train. Win. Win. Win.
Salish Lodge and Spa (formerly Snoqualmie Falls Restaurant, home of Snoqualmie Falls pancake mix), from the opposite side of the falls that I'm used to seeing it from. The trees block the view, but the water becomes a waterfall drop on the left side of this picture.
This is the same view from the waterfall side.
We are on the business side of the river while the Salish Lodge and Spa are on the highway side.
Reagan was totally into watching the moving water in the area right before the falls.
Kyanne and Bob lounging on their side of the train car.
After the train ride, we went to Snoqualmie Brewery & Taproom for lunch. Carissa proved that she deserved to be honored as a great mother because it was through her skilled mothering that the rest of the patrons avoided eating their lunch while a cranky toddler took their relaxing mealtime and turned it into a circus.
Carissa's lunch came later than ours so we all contributed items for Reagan to munch. When Carissa's food came, she calmly cleared a place for her plate to fit and ate her dinner. Only a mother could do that.
Reagan is almost two already!
She's a good eater. She eats anything put in front of her without complaint.
Reagan is considering potty training and it's the goal of the toddler room at her daycare. This week Reagan's daily report showed that she had tried to participate in the potty party but...
Carissa and Bear walking the waterfront while Chris did Dad Duty at swim lessons with Reagan.
Stand clear! Happy kid eating.
Reagan wearing Mom's sunglasses.
Playing with bubbles...
and hiking nearby beaches with the parents.
This happy family is always doing something fun.
Carissa took Reagan hiking on Monday.
The plan was that Reagan would walk herself and get some exercise but you can see by the look on her face that she wasn't having any of that plan.

Looks like you all had an awesome Mother's Day! It was great to see you this weekend, thanks for letting us crash your pool party...lol
