While Nitro was on his stump this week, he discovered that he could sniff the birdhouse and check out how the other half lives. Fat chance of having another bird family move in next spring. That place will be treated as if it's got the bird plague now.
Meanwhile the view out my (only) classroom window is changing daily. Today they pumped concrete and most of my class watched the action like it was the Discovery Channel. Considering we had a substitute it was a great sub plan.
Saturday Great-Grampa Book stopped by for a visit.
Here Great-Grampa Book talks to Reagan while Bear eagerly shredded a box then took a dramatic pity break on it while he rested. Recognize the giraffe pants, Jenna?
Look who else stopped by! Uncle Richard! The two of them got along like butter and toast. She loved his glasses. Richard you'd better get that new pair soon so you have a baby pair and a daily pair.
Grampa commented, as I have before, that Reagan looks a bit like Carter. She has some looks that are like Carter, some expressions like Aunt Kyanne, and has Daddy's ears and nose. All that together makes for a cute kidd-o.
Apparently visiting takes a lot out of you so Grampa and Reagan took a nice nap before we went to meet Kyanne for dinner. Check out her little John Deere shirt...
Yay, this time I didn't forget to take a picture of the people like I usually do! What a happy little group. Kyanne is like Mary Poppins with kids. They love her and she knows all the fun Auntie tricks to keep them entertained and adoring her. (And yes Kyanne, I did swap Chris' face from another picture since he had his eyes closed in the one everyone else was smiling in.)
Sunday before the Seahawk game I took Bear, the granddog, to the Bark Park. Our usual routine is to stop for coffee and a Milk Bone on the way, go to Reber Ranch and Feed to have tons of fun with other dogs and dog parents at the dog park, then go into the feed store for a nice juicy real beef bone (and to dry off) before getting back in my car and heading home.
This time Bear not only scored on a juicy dog bone, but a licensed NFL Seahawk scarf so he was dressed and ready to watch his team lose when we got home.
Since last week was my birthday, I got lots of well-wishes, cards, and a package from my parents in Oklahoma. They sent a beautiful turquoise ring with feathers as the mount. It looked so nice and shiny at the stop light on the way to the fabric store, I took a picture of both it and my kyannite ring although you can't see it that well.
Richard is so good with Reagan, well babies and kids in general, they the two of them had a great time together.
Check out Reagan's blue eyes. The Swedish is still showing through after several generations.
Reagan and Carissa take a break on our bed and Reagan take the opportunity to get a good mouthful of dog tail. As you can see, he really doesn't mind being abused since Carissa is using him as a pillow and Reagan is eating his tail and pulling the hair of it with her sticky little hands. You can see his ear in a relaxed sleeping pose with his head on our foot board.
Reagan being paparazzi-d while Grampa entertains her.
HAVE A GOOD WEEK, EVERYONE!
