Our weekend seemed started out to be pretty boring.
We signed our taxes,
tried to decide how to spice up the lower yard,
and lounged in the sun.
Darla came to my rescue by inviting me to a wine-tasting tour in Woodinville. So we launched to Enumclaw first thing this morning, hopped on a bus bound for Woodinville and toured five wineries. It was a nice tour and Darla had brought along several of her other Wine Wench friends to add to the fun.
We had a tour of the cask rooms of several wineries.
The first winery also sold these really cool La Canche French country stoves. They are so beautiful! Each stove is custom made to your specifications right down to the shade of paint. The stove shown below is $7,800 and is a 'basic' model. I see why Kyanne didn't consider one of these when she got a new stove a while ago. The knobs are in the front.
Northwest Totem Cellars hosted the tasting in their "home". The home was a huge classic Northwest home with the feel of a Sunset magazine spread. All of their wine is made right there in the house and barn. This is their kitchen. The picture does not include the tons of area around the kitchen area. They had the tastiest vegan mushroom pate' ever.
All-in-all it was a good weekend. I'm really not ready for the new week to begin.
