The building of the new school is in full swing. The bricked part below will be the technical shops and cafeteria area and will be moved into next fall. The rest of the school will move in the following year. This is the view just as you go in the doors of the Performing Arts Center. What you see here used to the the tennis courts where the PE students would taunt a PE teacher that was too large to fit through the gates to the tennis courts. It was also the PAC parking lot where we parked and met for ballet performances, band performance, and many other family activities. It's kind of sad to see it go.
On the other hand, since this is one of the better looking classrooms in the old school, it might be time to update by at least five decades.
Although this isn't of much interest to anyone but my dad, Bob ordered the Heritage certificate on the E-type Jaguar. It gives all the specs of the car when it was built and that it entered the US through New York. It's no longer accurate since it's not an automatic nor brown anymore but it's cool to see since it's our heirloom car. The handwritten number in the corner makes it look like a very official document.

Today Carissa, Bob and I met Kyanne and Ryan at Red Robin for an impromptu lunch. As usual, I forgot to take pictures. We had a very nice visit over our lunch then the guys went their separate ways. Us girls headed over the the former SuperMall of the Great Northwest which has been newly refurbished and christened "The Outlet Collection Seattle". It's nice and sparkling again, but deep down it's still the old SuperMall at heart. We made our rounds, checked out the sale racks, and made a break for home before the rain set in.
I was all excited to get my other new eye this week, but the doctor rescheduled my big event until the 7th of November. I was really looking forward to looking again...with two eyes that could work together for a common goal...my clear vision. Oh well, I'll just be another one-eyed driver on the road. I suppose one concentrating eye is still better than two eyes divided between the road, coffee, texting, the radio and phone calls.
