Carissa's birthday fell mid-week, mid-tests, and mid-work so we had a nice dinner at home to celebrate on the actual day.
Chris arrived laden with Carissa's dinner pick: salmon.
Grama and Grampa arrived in their usual form: 1 1/2 hours early.
Kyanne said we were at the table to eat, not take pictures so she got on with the business of eating. Who can argue with that?
Chris also crossed a huge milestone for Carissa's birthday, he made his first cake EVER! See the artifact of this amazing cake below.
In true Book style, the matches and lighter were missing in action so the candles were lit with Bob's propane torch, much to the amusement of Roo.
